About This Site
Welcome.
Unprecedented rapid changes in technology, culture and modern medicine have converged to over-burden our natural capacity for concentration. This has highlighted the question of how to improve concentration.
- First of all, our pace of life is increasing and our capacity to concentrate is decreasing.
- The workplace has been computerized – so the information we are required to handle in a given time period has exploded. In fact, there is a lot more going on – in all spheres of life – than there used to be, but, we still only have 24 hours a day.
- Everything is changing around us, as well.“Essential” products like ipods and portable DVD’s didn’t even exist 10 years ago. The global economy is, in fact, based on the propagation of new “needs” that are either discovered or invented, and providing the products that supply those needs.
- Of course, we also live longer, and with our enhanced longevity come memory and concentration issues.
It is my conviction that the act of improving concentration is a multi-faceted process, and the important thing to understand is that there is no quick fix for it.
Sure, there are lots of tips and hints about how to improve concentration, and I will be recommending some. But, just as several processes have contributed to the need to learn how to improve concentration, the road to improved concentration is a process as well.
Think of this as a resource to come back to; as a place where you can:
- Read about new developments concerning how to improve concentration.
- Learn free techniques you can use anywhere.
- See what others are saying and doing about improving memory and concentration
- Meet people who have decided to take action to improve their concentration and memory
- Get a “fix” of positive reinforcement in the knowledge that concentration and memory can be improved (Barring any physiological or organic damage that could prevent this ).
Oh yes, please leave your comments, especially if your reason for learning how to improve concentration is one that I haven’t touched upon.
